This is an AFI 35MM MOS project done for Cinematographer Carlo Mendoza.
When The Music Stops Playing is a drama set in modern day about Ben, a lonely mortician who goes through another day at the job as he prepares a woman for her funeral. Little do we know that this woman is actually his wife, and Ben has an opportunity to say his final goodbye.
For this project, we transformed a kitchen into a funeral home prep room, and dressed and wallpapered a fraternity house for a funeral during Christmas time.

Itai, an eccentric newly immigrated Israeli boy (12), dreams of being cast as the lead in his annual school play. However, much to his disappointment, he is consistently cast as one of the background trees due to what he believes is his “foreignness”. When his xenophobic drama teacher gives him the opportunity to direct the other "trees" in this year’s production (also immigrants from other countries) for a short bow at the end of the play, he goes all the way to make sure that these trees won't be forgotten.
For this thesis film, we shot on location at a school, and a house. This film consisted mostly on transforming different spaces though set decoration, like the house (office space into bedroom), and some building portions for the stage (scenic pieces).

This is a conceptual project for a TV series written by Sydney Meadow.
Wild Parrots is a story based on the infamous case of Leopold and Loeb from the 1920s. This was the first case of a reported murder caused by people from the upper class. Getting inspired by Nietzsche's concept of a superman, Leopold and Loeb were after the "perfect murder". Alas, a careless mistake would pin point the crime to them.
For this piece I designed the Delphi restaurant, hub for their masterplans, and home to their arrest.
Software used: SketchUp Podium render, painted over with Photoshop. Photoshop composites, and Vectorworks.
An adaptation from Milan Kundera's "The Hitchhinking Game", this film portrays the dichotomy of gender in society, as well as the dangers of a toxic relationship.
This piece was shot on location (diner and gas station) and on stage (motel build).

Small Town Gripes is a conceptual design project done for an original concept for a TV series written by Sebastian Ruan.
For this project, I developed the look of the town, as well as the main bar that is centrally located at the small town of Fork.
This dark comedy centers around the particularly strange town of Fork. With stores like "Infantile Mercantile" a store for babies, run by babies, this kooky town has many secrets in store. The at the center of it all we find "Sebastian's", where Satan himself runs the bar, and is on the hunt for poor souls to take with him.

For a class project, we re-envisioned a feature script that had been realized in the past, and for this I chose Far From Heaven.
Far From Heaven is a melodrama set in Connecticut in the 1950s. This piece is centered on Cathy Whitaker, and her dying relationship with her husband Frank Whitaker. As Cathy discovers he is having an affair with another man, she finds refuge in her gardener. In an era where the status quo is critical, Cathy plays with fire with this new relationship.
For this piece I designed Frank's Magnavox ads division office floor.

For this conceptual project, I took an existing location and transformed it into a London Victorian hotel in the 1800s.
Memento Mori is a murder mystery centered around Amelia's husband's death. As she suddenly falls ill from cholera, she decides to check in to her favorite hotel and spend her last days there. Little does she know that her life is in even more danger as angry townspeople are looking for revenge from her husband's wrongdoing.
